Do you really translate repeating fragments free of charge?

Yes, it is true. We translate repeating fragments free of charge. What is more, we offer you discounts for similar fragments. It is possible due to the Transit system, which facilitates and expedites the work of the translator. Transit can be, for example, customised to insert the translation into the repeating fragments automatically or to offer the user the translation of a similar fragment (fuzzy match). Do you sell terminology dictionaries?

No. STAR SPB does not distribute ready-made dictionaries or dictionaries, because a good dictionary for a translation project must contain only the entries, specific for this project, and they can be different for different customers even within the same industry.

Do you use machine translation?

No. All our translations are performed by professional translators only. They do use special software for their work, but it has nothing to do with software-translators. Our translators use Transit translation memory system. Click here for detailed information about Transit.

Is it true, that costs for every next order are less?

True, but only if both orders are within the same field. The costs decrease due to translating free of charge repeating fragments, while similar segments (fuzzy matches) are translated with discounts, because of the growth of customer-specific terminology databases and Translation Memory with every next project.
